March 16th-24th is National Tourism Week, so why not make this an excuse to visit somewhere interesting? I have rounded up some of the best geeky destinations in the UK for your inspiration.
Legoland
Legoland Windsor is set in Berkshire and re-opens on the 15th of March just in time for National Tourism Week.
With rides and attractions made from life-sized Lego models the park promises you an experience where you are the hero of your adventure featuring Knights, Pharos and Pirates. There is also the Lego Resort hotel where you can stay and have the fun continue throughout your entire visit.
There are family and group booking options and online only deals to take advantage of at the moment too!
Science Museum
The Science Museum in Kensington, London has things to explore and to fascinate people of all ages, and what more, it’s free! Open all year, the museum has exhibitions dedicated to Space exploration, medicine, the human body and the internet, among many other things.
Warner Bros Studio Tour
The Warner Bros Studio Tour London is on the to do list of many Harry Potter fans.
It promises a chance to see behind the scenes of the Harry Potter movies where we can get to walk along Diagon Alley, see inside the Great Hall of Hogwarts and touch actual movie props!
Again there is a discount should you want family or group tickets and there is an option should you want to gift tickets (why thank you!)
National Space Centre
The National Space Centre is is just outside of Leicester City Centre. It can be seen from a distance due to its iconic rocket tower and it boasts the UK’s largest planetarium.
It’s open Tuesday-Sunday and there is an online offer to pay once for an annual pass.
The Deep
The Deep, billed as the world’s only “submarium“, is set right on the coast in Hull, Yorkshire. A striking ship shape against the coastline, The Deep is home to over 3,500 fish including sharks and rays. You can pay once and gain entry all year and tickets are 10 percent off when booking online.
