I’ve been looking all over the internet for cool Christmas makes – and this one is by far my favourite. If you’re like me, and you’re practically drowning in spare bits of yarn (or just lack the time to buy bundles of Christmas decoration), this very quirky wreath is just the project for you.
Made by the crafty brains at Mollie Makes, this wreath is less pine and holly, more yarn and felt-y. It doesn’t take long to make, and you’ll probably already have most of the equipment – which is a double plus if you’re strapped for time before Christmas celebrations.
Your equipment list:
• A polystyrene wreath (currently 3-for-2 at Hobbycraft);
• One or more balls of chunky soft knit yarn (depending on how many wreaths you want to make);
• A selection of felted shapes and balls;
• Glue;
With all the red and green about, why not make Christmas a bit more colourful? Get the brightest, boldest yarns out there (bright yellow! Bright pink! Multi-coloured!) and make a whole bunch of colourful wreaths this season. It will put you in the festive spirit immediately.
You can find the whole tutorial, with pictures, on the Mollie Makes website.
