Merlin is coming back to BBC One this autumn, to regale us with Arthurian legend-mangling and tingling bromance. To start us getting excited already, they’ve released a new trailer, featuring sneak moments of the knights doing battle, Merlin and Arthur basically cuddling and yet more of Colin Morgan disguised as an old man.
What else could you want from this show? Well, maybe a shot of Bradley James topless. There isn’t one of those. Sorry, guys.
The Never-Ending Battle
This trailer release comes soon after San Diego Comic-Con, where the Merlin producers revealedthat those rumours about series five being the finale of the whole show were a magical illusion. Discussions are underway for a continuation, either a sixth year or a movie trilogy. Basically, any way they can find to further drag out the moment where Merlin comes clean to Arthur about his magical powers.
